Active Devon > Active Devon > Dartmoor Views - Walk
Distance: 6 miles
Difficulty: Moderate
Start/End point: Lustleigh
This exploration of Lustleigh Cleave combines a fine ridge walk that offers views over eastern Dartmoor, including Hound Tor and Haytor Rocks, with a woodland and riverside ramble. Criss-crossed by pretty paths and lanes, and largely built of cob and thatch, Lustleigh is the ideal place to start and finish a walk. Its 15th-century inn boasts a huge fireplace and a collection of period village photographs, while the granite church has a beautiful 16th-century screen and medieval monuments.

Other information: This walk is suitable for fairly fit walkers and has only 1 stile.
Notes on route: Well-signed footpaths, bridlepaths and lanes. Some short but steep ascents and descents.
