Devenish Pitt is situated in the picturesque Coly Valley. A family run British Horse Society approved riding school with 260 acre sheep farm. Lessons, family rides and hacks are available. Lessons are given in the indoor and outdoor schools.

Novice riders can merely learn to sit and control the horse or the more experienced rider, to ride a dressage test or course of show jumps. Hacks are offered in our beautiful countryside. Quiet family rides in the valley or faster cross country hacks with optional jumps on route. Beginners are advised to have some tuition before hacking. Children can enjoy half days at the stables to include a ride and pony care instruction.

Set in 260 acres of tranquil countryside visitors can enjoy breath-taking views. We have many farm animals and pets. Willing volunteers can help feed and hred the sheep or groom the many friendly horses. Riding courses can be tailored to your needs.

Road Directions

From Honiton take the A375 towards Sidmouth. At the Hare & Hounds crossroads turn left and follow the brown tourist signs to Devenish Pitt. Or Midway between Sidmouth and Seaton, from the A3052 follow the brown tourist signs to Deveinish Pitt.
