North Bovey

Website

North Bovey, with its pretty cob and thatch cottages, handsome granite church and medieval inn, has to be one of the prettiest villages in all of Devon.

This is the starting point for any easy walk that heads across to Moretonhampstead, an interesting small town that's blessed with another fascinating church, medieval almshouses and a medley of historic inns.

The route also includes fine views of eastern Dartmoor and it is relatively sheltered, making it ideal for a bracing winter's day!
