Passing through more quiet countryside, the Trail arrives at Stowford, with its Dark-Age carved stone.

Continuing, it passes a working steam museum on the site of a Domesday farmstead before crossing a river on an ancient stone bridge to arrive at Lifton, an attractive village in the far west of Devon.
