The Way continues along the Coly Valley to reach the wide floodplain of the River Axe.
Crossing the Axe, the route climbs into the hills behind the village of Musbury, crossing the hilly landscape to descend to the village of Uplyme on the Dorset border.
The end [and beginning] of the East Devon Way is in this village, but good paths lead a mile to the south, over the county boundary, to the centre of Lyme Regis and the Coast Path.
