Musbury Castle is an Iron Age camp that looks out onto the beautiful river Axe. The area is not only a historical treat but there is much for the wildlife lover and keen birdwatchers alike. The hedgerows that extend down the East Devon Way hold whitethroats and yellowhammers. There are the Lower Bruckland fishing lakes that attract birds including little grebes and shelduck. This is a lovely site that gives great views of the surrounding countryside. If you are in the area it is worth a visit.
