With plenty of activities for all the family, regattas are a great choice. Dartmouth boasts a spectacular event, with brilliant sea and air displays, fun fairs and fireworks, and there are plenty of others - Torbay, Paignton, Brixham, Salcombe, Shaldon and Bideford all boast their own versions of this exciting event.

June sees the amazing Goldcoast Oceanfest, a unique format of lifestyle sports backed by great music, which attracts top-class international free-sports professionals against the splendid backdrop of the north Devon coast.

Go international at Plymouth, host to one of the most prestigious solo yacht races, the Transat race, which crosses the Atlantic to Boston. Or go local with the Clovelly Herring Festival, which celebrates the Silver Darlings.
