Welcome to the Grove Inn.

If you are looking for a quintessential country pub serving great beer and the best local produce then you must try the Grove.

Our 17th Century listed thatched inn sits right in the middle of the beautiful North Devon village of Kings Nympton. When you visit you can enjoy a selection of local real ales, real ciders, an extensive selection of wines including some of the best wines Devon has to offer. You'll also find a truly warm welcome and during the colder months a warm open fire. This all accompanies our menu cooked with fresh, quality ingredients sourced as close to home as possible. Since early 2003 we have been working in partnership with local farmers and producers to bring a real taste of Devon to our guests. We’re confident that the hard work of those farmers and producers is evident in the quality of food we produce here at the Grove.

Why not try our Individual Beef Wellington made with fully matured Devon beef from Lakehead Farm or our Luxury Devon Fish Pie made with some of the best fish landed at Clovelly harbour. Or why not sample some of the Rare-breed Sausages from Highlands Farm with Buttered Mash & Grove-made Onion Gravy or maybe the beautifully lean Ostrich Burger reared at Holsworthy in North Devon. If you have room after this why not finish with one of our Grove-made puddings. Please have a look at our website for our sample menus and opening hours

Having been named North Devon’s Best Pub in both 2006 and 2007 Food & Drink Awards, being awarded Silver in the Taste of the West Awards 2007 and recommended by the Good Beer Guide 2008, Alistair Sawday Guide and the Good Pub Guide 2007, we are confident that your visit will be one you’ll enjoy and remember.

Located between both coasts and moors, Kings Nympton is a great base for touring the county or maybe you’d just like to explore the immediate countryside which offers great walks and wildlife.

In summer 2008 the Grove will be offering its very own luxury cottage. A short walk from the pub the cottage will be available for holiday rental and will sleep 4 in luxury. In addition to this we can confidently recommend many self-catering or B&B establishments in and around the village where we know you will be looked after.

We hope to see you in the near future.
