Named 'Restaurant of the Year for the South West' in the Les Routiers in Britain awards, The Elephant Restaurant helped to reinforce the strongly held belief that the English Riviera has now well-and-truly joined in the food and drink revolution, which is currently sweeping the nation, by claiming a coveted Michelin star.

The Elephant is now recognised as one of the most stylish restaurants in Devon.

Head chef Simon Hulstone, winner of the Roux Scholarship and to date the only British chef to win gold at the World Chef Championships in France, is supported by a talented young team of chefs, including the British Apprentice of the Year.
