Foodie Devon > Where To Stay > Newhouse Farm
Discover Devon's foods with a stay at Newhouse farm, a comfortable old farmhouse on the edge of Exmoor National Park.
Tomorrow's breakfast includes rhubarb freshly picked from the garden served with greek yoghurt, and to follow a delicious Devon breakfast. Locally smoked bacon, sausages made for us from old spot pigs, organic mushrooms from Riverford farm in South Devon and eggs from the village. Home made marmaldes and jams or Exmoor honey to top your toast made from freshly baked home made bread.... that should set you up for the day!
Or if you prefer something lighter the choice is yours; porridge is always popular made with cream and topped with Exmoor Honey or Brown sugar' or perhaps you prefer fish for breakfast.... smoked haddock topped with a poached egg, kippers and brown bread and butter or a touch of luxury, creamy scrambled eggs topped with smoked salmon.
Return from a day exploring Exmoor and North Devon to one of our award winning dinners (AA dining award, Winner Taste of the West Best Farmhouse B&B 1999) featuring the best of local produce, or visit one of the many local pubs and restaurants.
North Devons first and only Michelin starred restaurant The Masons Arms at Knowstone is a short drive away. Also recommended is Woods at Dulverton, just over the border in Somerset.
Whilst you are staying at Newhouse farm shop for deliciously different local foods..... smoked trout, clotted cream, locally produced cheeses; we can advise you as to where the best is to be found, be it at local shops, farm shops or Farmers markets.
