Home > Devon Accommodation > Abode Exeter - Royal Clarence Hotel
The Royal Clarence Hotel is the oldest in Britain, built in 1769, however parts of the building date back to the 1500s. It overlooks Exeter's magnificent cathedral and is ideally situated for both business and pleasure. You can be assured of service with style- whether you require a full A la carte meal in the sumptuous 'Michael Caines Restaurant', a flute of bubbly in the Champagne and Cocktail bar, a freshly baked croissant or gourmet sandwich in the cafe bar, or traditional pub lunch in the popular Well House Tavern.
Situated in Cathedral yard, The Royal Clarence Hotel is within easy reach of all local tourist attractions, visit the underground passages, join a guided tour, take a trip down the well to our very own skeleton, dating back to 1820 or enjoy the rides at Crealy Adventure Park.
