Hidden and unspoilt, Whitnage, near Tiverton in Devon, is a quiet rural hamlet with panormaic views of the Culm Valley and the Blackdown Hills. Less than a mile from Sampford Peverell, along a short section of traditional narrow high-banked lane, Brambles Bed and Breakfast is only 4 miles from Tiverton and has easy access to the M5 at junction 27 for Taunton, Wellington, Exeter, Cullompton, Honiton and the A361 for Tiverton, South Molton, Barnstaple and North Devon.
Originally dating back to the mid 1500's, Brambles is perfect for a relaxing short break or holiday in picturesque surroundings and is also ideal for guests attending weddings and other functions, visiting family and friends, working in the area, house hunting or simply breaking a longer journey somewhere near the M5. Whatever the reason expect a warm welcome from David and Rebecca.
The Linhay (Brambles Holiday Cottage) Self-Catering accommodation has one double bedroom. There is also a fully sprung sofa bed in the lounge so the Linhay will sleep up to three adults or with the addition of fold away beds or travel cots it also provides flexible accommodation for families. A 2nd en-suite guest room is available if two couples are happy to share the open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge (please note that the 2nd bedroom has a seperate and private entrance with no internal access to the Linhay). Children and babies welcome, high chair, cots and folding beds along with garden play equipment for toddlers are readily available.

From the M5 Motorway turn off at Junction 27 onto the A361 (dual carriageway) heading towards Tiverton and Barnstaple. Keeping to the left hand lane turn off at the first exit (Holbrook Lane), which is less than half a mile. It is sign posted Sampford Peverell.
Turn left at the mini roundabout at the top of that slip road heading towards the village (Sampford Peverell). Continue for half a mile then as you enter the village turn right into Whitnage Road. The Parkway House Hotel (aka Cézannes) is on your right.
Travel a further half a mile crossing a narrow humped back canal bridge, through the narrow tunnel under the A361 dual carriageway above and then straight on, ignoring the farm entrances on your left, through a series of bends before taking the first turning on your left signposted for Whitnage (do not go straight on up the hill sign posted Westleigh!). The lane is narrow but continue on for a further half a mile to a T junction. You are now in Whitnage.
Turn left again and we are a further 200 yards on the left just past the farm entrance, the first cottage on the left (Whitnage Cottage - We do not have a Brambles sign).
From Tiverton Parkway - 2 miles
By train to Tiverton Parkway railway station then walk, cycle, taxi the 2 miles to Whitnage. Pick up and drop off can be arranged.
