Home > Devon Accommodation > Browns
Browns is a small townhouse hotel in the centre of Dartmouth. It is owned and run by Clare and James Brown who have refurbished it over the last three years. Browns is now an unstuffy yet stylish hotel, with contemporary furnishings and a relaxed feel.
Browns has 10 individual rooms ranging from small doubles to our four poster room. Our rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable and modern in their design. They are not luxuriously appointed nor are they huge in size. However they are comfortable, have great beds, big duvets and feather pillows, new shower or bathrooms and have some fun touches: funky fabrics, leather wall tidies, Robert radios, fresh coffee and nice toiletries.
Breakfast is an important part of any stay. We believe that breakfasts should be leisurely and comfortable. We have big wooden tables and generous leather chairs where you plan the day or read your newspaper. We use the best ingredients possible for breakfast, from our organic bread to our free range eggs and smoked bacon. We squeeze our orange juice and make our own marmalades, jams and Greek yoghurt.
Browns has the most stylish bar in Dartmouth, popular with both locals and guests. You will find it difficult to be dragged away from our funky big sofas, warm open fire and freshly made Tapas. The leather bar, great art on the walls, the latest magazines, and our no smoking policy ensures that Browns Bar is a great place to chill out.
