Granite gate posts, Georgian elegance, rhododendrons, beech woods, all this awaits you as you enter the tree-lined drive to Burnville House, set amidst informal gardens in the heart of our 250-acre beef and sheep farm in rolling countryside that touches the very edge of Dartmoor.
The house is large and airy, everywhere hints of elegance, antique furniture, stylish bathrooms, subtle colour schemes giving light and warmth throughout. Both the bedrooms have huge beds and stunning views of Dartmoor.
You can enjoy a farmhouse breakfast and select from a sumptuous evening meal menu, prepared from finest local ingredients and produce from the farm or take advantage of our driver service and sample the delights of the local pubs and award-winning restaurants.
All in all the perfect place to relax, enjoy a dip in the pool, a game of tennis, clay pigeon shooting or simply stroll in the grounds possibly venturing a little further across the fields to the church on the Tor or the White Lady waterfall in Lydford Gorge.
To fully appreciate the area head East to explore Dartmoor on foot or mountain bike, drive south to discover Tavistock, voted the Daily Telegraph’s market town of the year, and the beauty of the Tamar Valley. Go further to the fishing villages of the south coast or the rugged cliffs and sandy surfing beaches of North Cornwall. There are also numerous National Trust Properties, Cornish gardens and the Eden Project within easy reach.
