Cloud Farm is a riverside farmhouse in the heart of Exmoor's beautiful Doone Valley. Our s/c accommodations, campsites, stables, tearoom, shop, off-licence and gardens provide an idyllic base for families, walkers, riders, tourers seeking a break at any time.

Officially one of the last "truly tranquil areas" of England, the valley area is idyllic. Come to Cloud Farm for a short break or whole week and wake up to red deer, herons, and stunning scenery. Explore from your own doorstep the crystal streams, wooded valleys, rolling moorlands and Lorna Doone legends which make up this lovely part of Exmoor. Or tour around and explore the unique atmosphere and scenery of Exmoor and its villages, coastlines and beaches, still unspoilt and uncrowded.

Our cosy Visit Britain 4 star accommodations make Cloud Farm a paradise for walking, relaxing, exploring, watching wildlife, or riding from our stables (all ages and levels, even beginners), and kids will happily spend whole days paddling and exploring the Badgworthy stream's shady banks, hills and woods (with frequent recourse to the refreshments, ice-creams, lunches and teas from the shop and tearoom!)

Our facilities include a shop (selling fresh food, provisions and more) and off-licence. For campers there are hot showers, laundry and drying facilities and the shop sells everday camping needs. So come for a few nights, or a week's holiday, and relax completely with no distractions from the outside world! One visit here is never enough...

Road Directions

Take the main A39 Porlock to Lynton road, and just east of the County gate Visitor Centre take the signposted road to the Doone Valley and Malmsmead. Turn right at Oare Church and find the clearly signed driveway to Cloud Farm one mile along the road on the left, just before the ford at Malmsmead.
