Highly recommended farmhouse accommodation situated only 2 miles west of Tavistock recently voted the Top Market Town in the Country. Easy to locate just off the main A390, only 20 minutes drive from the A30. Peacefully situated in the beautiful Tamar Valley, with fields, trees and lovely country lanes abundant with wild flowers in spring. The farmhouse makes an ideal base for touring Devon and Cornwall. It is also very fortunate to have stunning views of The Dartmoor National Park.

Enjoy it from the luxury conservatory where tea is served on arrival, or from the lovely, well attended acre of gardens where guests can sit and admire the views. You can even purchase plants home grown from the recently restored walled in garden. Here the children can enjoy a wide variety of equipment - swings, basketball, football, slides etc.

Approached along a small lane and through a wagon wheel gate, the farmhouse is part of a 150 acre beef & sheep Dartmoor farm with a further 100 acres rented elsewhere. The farm's South Devon Cattle are reared and sold off the farm, as well as 400 ewes which lamb in the spring - a lovely sight to see.

The accommodation offered is of a high standard with attention to detail a priority. Every comfort is assured and guests return annually to enjoy good home produced farmhouse cooking in a warm and friendly atmosphere. There are 2 Double Rooms Ensuite (1 with a bath extra) and 1 Twin Room Ensuite. The ambience is relaxed and informal. Breakfasts, full English or continental and pre-arranged modestly priced diners are served in a separate dining room on a traditional oak dining suite. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine. Vegetarian and special diets are catered for with some advanced notice.

Road Directions

From Tavistock take main A390 road to Cornwall. After 2 miles Harvest Home Inn on left at top of hill. After 100yrds turn right to Colcharton. Easy to locate.

Public Transport Directions

From Gunnislake station
Turn right out of the station. Over Gunnislake Bridge up hill for 1 mile through Gulworthy Cross. First turning on the right on the A390.
