Welcome to Coombe House. A house has been on this site since 1330. The present house was built in the 1700's in a gracious Georgian style. The cottages have been converted from traditional stone buildings, to create four self-catering units that are full of charm and character. The house and cottages stand at the head of a broad valley bordered by meadows and woodlands. The beautiful gardens feature a lake and streams that are a haven for wildlife, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located in the South Hams in Devon, four miles South of the A38 trunk road, we are within easy access of historic towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. We are also within four miles of the Dartmoor National Park. Coombe House is within easy reach of some of the cleanest beaches in Devon. The many coves around the coastline make this area a swimming and sailing paradise. The coastal paths offer superb walks and magnificent scenery. We are close to several National Trust, English Heritage properties and RHS gardens. Bed and Breakfast Five rooms are available throughout the year for bed and breakfast. All bedrooms are individually and tastefully decorated with spectacular views over the gardens and valley. We have two double rooms, a twin and a family room all with en-suite bathrooms. We also have a single room with it’s own private bathroom. Colour T.V. in all bedrooms, radio, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press, hair dryer, central heating and log fire, no pets (except guide dogs), washing machine and tumble dryer for guest use, plus privilege membership of Dartmouth golf and country club. Coombe House is very comfortably furnished to a high standard. Our guests have the use of a dining room, drawing room and living room/sun lounge plus garden tables and chairs. No Smoking. Self Catering Nestling around a small courtyard the cottages have been carefully converted from traditional stone buildings to create self catering homes that are full of charm and character. To make the most of the wonderful views they have been designed upside down with sitting rooms above and bedrooms below. All are furnished in style and have modern fitted kitchens and fully tiled bathrooms to make your stay here both comfortable and enjoyable Full central heating, dish washer, washer/tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave, colour television, radio/CD plus privilege membership of Dartmouth Golf and Country Club. No pets (except guide dogs). Picnic tables in the gardens and access to a pay-phone and BBQ if needed.

A38 westbound towards Plymouth, exit at Ermington turn; left into A3121; follow road for 1 mile; straight across at crossroads towards Loddiswell(B3196); after 1 mile turn left and immediately right; follow lane for 0.5 mile and turn left at crossroads; take next left and Coombe House is signed.
