Home > Devon Accommodation > Dowerland Farm
Sympathetically renovated Georgian Farmhouse in a quiet village location. Three contemporary, spacious bedrooms with luxury ensuite or private bathroom. Pretty garden. Cycling and walking on Dartmoor from the door. Excellent local inns nearby. A friendly welcome with tea and cake. There is ample off-road parking.
Internet access is provided in a small guest library of books, maps, CDs and DVDs. Each bedroom is equipped with a TV/DVD, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfasts are prepared from local produce as far as possible and served in the slate-floored dining room or the garden. There are log fires in the guest lounge and dining room making a winter stay warm and relaxing.
Dowerland Farm is within the Dartmoor National Park and also provides an ideal touring base for Devon and Cornwall - the Eden Project is just over an hour away. Walkers and cyclists welcome and we have secure storage for cycles. We are a non-smoking establishment and welcome children over the age of 12. We regret that we are unable to accept pets.
From Exeter take the A30 to Sourton Cross and join the A386 to Tavistock. On reaching Mary Tavy turn left at the War Memorial just before the pedestrian crossing. Follow the road down the hill and over a small bridge. Continue up the hill and Dowerland Farm is the cream coloured house on the right opposite the turning to Horndon.
