Edgemoor Cottage

Edgemoor Cottage is a new high-quality conversion of a stone-built stable barn, in a small peaceful hamlet on the western edge of Dartmoor. The cottage backs onto fields and is within 100 yards of the open moors of Dartmoor National Park.
The cottage has two en suite bedrooms (1 twin and 1 double, both with TV), a kitchen/dining room, and an upstairs living room (TV and video) leading into a sun lounge/diner with patio overlooking the adjacent fields.
Middlemoor is ideally situated for those wishing to enjoy walking, cycling or riding over breathtakingly scenic Dartmoor and wooded riverside walks in the vicinity.
It is within 5 minutes walk of the Whitchurch Inn and there are many other country pubs slightly further away. The nearest small town is Tavistock (just two miles away), an attractive market town, with a variety of facilities.
The large variety of day excursions might include visits to the stately homes of Saltram and Cotehele, Buckland Abbey, the gardens of The Garden House, fishing at the trout farm, and the Shire Horse and Miniature Pony centres.
Nearby Morwellham Quay offers a time-warp rail ride into the workings of a mine. A scenic drive across Dartmoor, where Bronze Age hut circles can be seen, takes you to the excellent Dartmoor Visitor Centre and Prison Museum at Princetown.
