A warm, friendly welcome awaits you at our traditional working beef, sheep and dairy farm close to the Devon/Cornwall border. The 260 acre farm is in a beautiful quiet rural location, but easily accessible from the A30 (5 miles).
Accommodation:
The cottages sleep up to 6 people and are fully equipped with excellent furniture, TV, DVD and video players. Bed linen is provided and the beds are made up prior to arrival. Kitchens include integrated dishwasher, fridge and microwave, oil fired central heating plus wood-burner in the lounge. Garden / patio with furniture and barbecue.

An imaginative barn conversion at the end of a quiet lane across a courtyard. 3 levels with wooden floors - ground floor lounge / dining / kitchen. Double bedroom with en-suite shower room with toilet and bath. Bathroom with 3/4 bath, shower, toilet and basin. First floor 2 bedrooms, one double with basin, one twin with basin.
The Old Shippon
Semi-detached barn conversion with accommodation for 4-6. Ground floor lounge / kitchen / diner, cloakroom with toilet and basin. First floor bathroom with shower and bath, toilet and basin, 2 bedrooms one double, one twin.

Situation:
The historic town of Launceston with shops and castle is 7 miles away, and Holsworthy, with its weekly pannier market and cattle market is 10 miles. Ashwater (4 miles) has a welcoming public house with excellent food, a post office / general store and a local butcher. Bude, with its famous surfing beaches, supermarkets and restaurants is 18 miles. Most of the resorts of Devon and Cornwall, including Banstaple and the cities of Exeter and Plymouth can be reached within an hour.
Things to do:
The area around Frankaborough Farm offers many beauty spots and attractions to visit including Lydford Gorge, Cotehele House, Castle Drogo and Lanhydrock House. For the energetic there is walking on Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, wind-surfing, sailing, and fishing at nearby Roadford Lake, golf or horse riding. There are also cycle routes along several disused railway lines. Further afield are the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. And of course you will also be able to enjoy the traditional everyday working life of the farm.

From the A30, take the green sign for Broadwoodwidger, Stowford and Bratton Clovelly. Turn right over the A30 and continue for approx 5 miles until you come to a T junction. Turn left, then take the second left at Dubbs Cross signposted to Lifton and Cross Green. Drive 1 mile and we are the first lane on the left, third house in, through the wood gate.
From Exeter/Plymouth Train Stations
Exeter is 40 miles and Plymouth is 30 miles.
No direct buses. However buses from either Halwill Beaworthy (7 miles) and Launceston (7miles).
