Lower Norton Barns is tucked away at the end of a country lane, nestling in the South Devon Countryside, yet only 4 miles from the coast, offering a peaceful and relaxing holiday, comfortable well equipped accommodation, gardens and a play area for families. The area is rich in wildlife with buzzards frequently soaring overhead and cheeky swallows racing in and out of nearby buildings, whilst Slapton Ley Nature Reserve, the Kingsbridge and Salcombe Estuary, Historic Town of Totnes and Port of Dartmouth are only a short drive way. Lower Norton Barns are open all year round and offers mid-week and weekend short breaks from Autumn, through Winter, and into early Spring. Braken Cottage Bracken is a delightful Country cottage style apartment with views down the valley. Open plan sitting/dining room with an electric wood burner stove, 2 bedrooms - 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with a bath and electric shower over the bath, toilet, basin and heated towel rail. Kitchen with a double oven, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge. Patio area with garden furniture. There is also a washing and drying room facility plus a play area for children.

Road Directions

Directions via M5 South:

Traveling South on the M5 follow directions to Plymouth via the A38.

From Exeter the M5 becomes the A38 Devon Expressway. Take the A381 signposted to Totnes, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Follow the signs to Totnes.

On reaching the traffic lights at Totnes turn right continuing to follow the A381. Continue through the villages of Harbertonford and Halwell past Totnes Cross filling station on your left. After approx. 1 mile turn left following the sign for Slapton & East Allington. Continue on this road until you reach Wallaton Cross (each cross roads in Devon has a name written down the side of the signpost) and turn right.

Lower Norton Barns is Approx. 1 mile along this road on the left hand side. You will see a green wheelie bin at the top of a lane. Turn left into the lane. At the bottom of the lane keep to the left.
