The Mount Edgcombe is a detached family run hotel situated in a level location, convenient for all local amenities and within easy walking distance of the seafront, Torre Abbey and Gardens, The Riviera Conference and Leisure Centre, Railway Station, and Torquay Harbour.
Our aim is to ensure that you have an enjoyable holiday in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. All of our bedrooms are comfortably furnished and en-suite with showers. They are all centrally heated and equipped with colour television, tea/coffee making facilities and free wireless internet connection. Ground floor rooms are available.
Our guests enjoy home cooked meals in the relaxed atmosphere of our bright and cheerfully decorated dining room. For a quiet evening in we have a welcoming bar at the Mount Edgcombe where your day’s experiences may be shared with other guests over a drink. We also have a TV lounge for guests if they prefer.

Road Directions
From Exeter
Follow signs for Torquay. At Penn Inn roundabout, in Newton Abbot, take the second exit, signposted Torquay. At the next roundabout, go straight across. Follow A3022 into Torquay. At sixth set of traffic lights get into tight hand lane, signposted seafront, this is Avenue Road. The Mount Edgcombe Hotel is just under half a mile down on the left hand side (second hotel after the next set of traffic lights) opposite Cockington Primary School.
Public Transport Directions
From Torquay station
Follow Rathmore Road And when the road reaches a fork, stay on the right hand side, which leads you into Falkland Road, where you should turn left (at traffic lights). Mount Edgcombe Hotel is approximately 400 yards up on the right hand side opposite Cockington Primary school.
