The former village rectory, set in ten acres of gardens and woodland in Parkham, near Bideford, has undergone an extensive refurbishment programme enhancing the public areas, the award winning Woodlands restaurant and the cosy bar. Penhaven has been reborn with a sunny new aspect just in time to welcome visitors for the spring and summer season.

The public areas have received a fashionable makeover, complementing the traditional charm of the building, which dates in part from the 17th century. The overhaul extends to the restaurant, which sees some stylish new touches.

Woodlands, an AA rosette standard eatery, popular with locals and visitors alike, offers an inspiring new seasonal menu. Under the expert guide of chef Richard Copp, the finest, locally sourced ingredients are used to serve up a tasty slice of North Devon. Guests will also be enticed to linger longer in the smart, refurbished bar.

Penhaven Country House Hotel's laid back charms reflect the relaxed, idyllic nature of North devon, one of the most beautiful areas of the UK in which to take a break and unwind.
