Red Roadster Classics (established in 2007), grew from our passion for old British sports cars. There is nothing quite like exploring the beautiful English countryside of Devon, driving a classic car with the top down. You get to see, smell and experience things in a totally new way and often find that you plan your route around the positioning of large window panes in order to admire your reflection as you drive past…

We are close to Dartmoor National Park and the English Riviera beaches, perfect for exploring the South West. Enjoy the breathtaking coastal roads of Torbay, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Shaldon, Dartmouth and Brixham. Or cruise along the country lanes around the South Hams, to an historic village pub and sample the local organic produce. We can help you to plan your route, from tourist attractions to the theatre, walking to windsurfing, fishing to festivals or have a picnic at a National Trust garden.

The champagne corks are popping at a Devon classic car company to celebrate a successful first year in business and a new addition to its fleet of iconic cars. Tim and Heidi Hallam started up Red Roadster Classics car hire to share their passion for old English sports cars and now have five immaculate soft-top MGs for hire. Their latest car is a stunning, pearlescent white, custom-made Beauford tourer which comes with chauffeur.

Both Tim and Heidi juggle running Red Roadster Classics with their jobs. “It’s been an exciting year and very hectic” said Heidi, who works in Exeter “We’ve had a great response – people are very nostalgic about MGs and can’t wait to get behind the wheel. We often get people coming to Devon especially to hire one of our classic cars - for the day or longer. The Beauford is slightly different, because that’s for hire with a driver, so it will be great for chauffeured weddings and special celebrations.”

It’s also the first year that Red Roadster will be appearing at the Devon County Show as part of the classic car display. The couple will be showing off one of their MGs which range from a 1953 MG TD to a 1974 MG B. The cars have all been selected for their good looks, drivability and reliability.

Tim and Heidi offer a bespoke service and can provide hampers, route maps and ideas so that the driver can make the most of Devon’s attractions or even join in with local MG club outings. They are also happy for people who are thinking of buying their own MG to try one of Red Roadster’s first to see which type is most suitable.
