Rydon Farm

Sally and Philip Glanvill welcome you to Rydon Farm. In the heart of the East Devon countryside, this 16th Century Devon Longhouse is situated on the outskirts of the village of Woodbury, approximately 6 miles from Exeter and 4 miles from Exmouth. Many of our guests return time after time to this family run dairy farm which has been farmed by our family for over 180 years.

Rydon provides a superb location for exploring the coast and countryside of East Devon and the historic city of Exeter. Our rural setting close to Woodbury Common means our accommodation is popular with bird watchers, walkers and those simply wanting to get away from it all.

Lovingly restored with a wealth of original features, oak and elm beams and an inglenook fireplace, Rydon Farm provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

The spacious guest bedrooms are individually decorated and all have en-suite or private bathrooms. Rooms are doubles/twins but are available for single occupancy at an attractive discount (subject to season). All rooms have central heating, hairdryer, digital TV, DVD and CD player, radio alarm, electronic safe, hospitality tray with a range of beverages and biscuits, books, magaines, bottles water, bathrobes and a selection of toiletries.

For breakfast we aim to accommodate all tastes. We offer a full English breakfast with a selection of items including free range eggs, local bacon and speciality sausages. We also offer fresh fruit and yoghurts. This is in addition to your choice of cereal, hot toast and freshly brewed tea or coffee. For guests who are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements please contact us prior to arrival stating your exact needs, and we will be happy to assist.

Rydon is a non-smoking establishment. Pets are welcome by arrangement. There are several excellent pubs and restaurants nearby.
