DINING
Serendipity Restaurant
Our menus change on a daily basis, making full use of the local produce. They offer a balance of simple and elaborate dishes, with fresh Lobster, Crab and local fillet Beef always available.
"Watch the lobster pots being emptied in the bay, then enjoy the catch served in a saffron sauce with sautéd queen scallops. Fish and seafood are a specialty at this idyllically located hotel and although the freshness of the crab needs no more than a crisp leaf salad, the modern West Country cooking also takes in seared veal with ginger and lime butter, and a breast of Devonshire chicken with wild mushrooms and a casserole of haricot beans.
Desserts include hot blackberry and apple pie, and Cornish Yarg soufflé makes an unusual savoury. A special children's menu is served between 5 and 5.30pm.
Castaways Coffee Shop
Why not enjoy a cream tea in our coffee shop "Castaways", or unwind with a newspaper on our sea facing deck.
OUR BEACH
Situated immediately below the hotel, the Soar Mill Cove beach is one of the most idyllic havens in the area. Surrounded by stunning cliffs, which are alive with beautiful wild flowers in the Spring and early Summer, the beach is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Groomed regularly by ourselves, it's great fun for the kids too (of all ages!).

Road Directions
Shortly after Exeter the M5 changes name to the A38 which is a near motorway standard 'A' road, you will notice little differrence but name.
About 15 miles along the A38 towards Plymouth you will come to the junction for TOTNES, KINGSBRIDGE & SALCOMBE at which you must turn off left along the A384.
When you reach TOTNES on the A384 at the begining of the town at traffic lights, turn right onto the A381 which is signposted KINGSBRIDGE.
BEFORE YOU REACH KINGSBRIDGE
(If you see a sign before Kingsbridge, IGNORE IT. There is a small roundabout, do not turn right, but go straight on whatever the sign says).
At KINGSBRIDGE go into the town and on reaching the roundabout turn right towards SALCOMBE, still on the A381.
Four miles along the road after Kingsbridge you will reach MALBOROUGH village. Here you should leave the A381 and turn sharp right which is signposted SOAR, pass through the village and after the church bear left which is also signposted SOAR. It is then just 2 miles to the hotel passing three more signs.
