Situated in the South Hams village of East Charleton, midway between Dartmouth and Salcombe and just 2 miles from the ancient market town of Kingsbridge at the head of the Salcombe Estuary.

One of three barns - belonging to Home Farm - originally used to stable horses on the ground floor and store barley upstairs.

The horses were used to haul stone from a nearby quarry, some of which went into the construction of the barns.

The conversion of The Barley House was completed in 2006 to a high spec based on a contemporary design. Two of the bedrooms are available for bed and breakfast.

The Barn looks out over open, rolling countryside typical of the South Hams, towards Frogmore Creek.

Three of the beaches in the South Hams have been awarded Blue Flag status and six the 'Rural Beach Award.

Rooms from £65 per room (or £32.50 per person) per night.
