Situated on the North Devon coast just off the A39 Atlantic Highway two miles west of Bideford, The BIG Sheep is a leading member of Devon's Top Attractions. Rides:
For all those who love tractors take a Farm Safari ride through our site. See how many different farm animals you can spot in their natural environment Our self drive tractors are a real hit from ages two to ninety nine! Have a ride on one of our ponies, a great opportunity for those who have never even sat on a horse before.
Shows:
Watch our fun packed sheep shows full of sheepy information delivered to you by our very entertaining demonstrators. There are ten different breeds of sheep that perform in the Sheep Show. They strut onto the stage and the demonstrator gives the audience information on their background.
Outdoor Activities:
There are loads of fun packed outdoor activities including Mountain Boarding, Outdoor Laser Games, Farm Safari ride, Abbeycombe Garden Centre and Nursery, The BIG Sheep Shearing Show, Horse whispering show, The BIG Sheep Lamb Feeding, Dog Trials, The BIG Sheep Duck Trials and Ponies.
Indoor Activities:
EWEtopia is a massive indoor play area suitable for any age group, including Mums and Dads!There is an assortment of ball ponds, climbing areas and secure play zones for the under 2's and 5's. You have a choice of three slides, one of which is the free fall death slide for those who dare! Plus a nursery barn, Lamb Feeding(Indoors) and an Internet Cafe.
Food:
There is Shepherds Restaurant where fresh farmhouse food is prepared especially for you with the finest and freshest ingredients that are often organic, direct from our local producers. EWEtopia Bo Peep Servery serves a fantastic assortment of hot food. All freshly cooked when you order these generous portions will not go hungry.
Sheepy Shop:
Have a fun and unusual shopping experience and browse through our local West Country products. We have a wide range of gifts with value and quality guaranteed, you will find something for any special occasion. Have a cuddle with our soft toys, from sheep and collie dogs to ponies and chickens, from key ring size to huge soft toys that just will not squeeze into a carrier bag! We also sell decorative stationery, pens & pencils, erasers, keyrings, puzzles, games and other items. The Sheepy Shop has a fantastic range of Pachamama clothes in a variety of lovely colours to suit any one. You can then choose a pretty piece of jewellery to complete your outfit from our range of jeweled and plain silver bracelets, necklaces and earings.

Road Directions
We are situated on the A39 Atlantic Highway.
From M5 – Take Junction 27 follow the A361 to Barnstaple, Take the A39 signposted Bideford. Follow our brown tourist signs along the A39 and turn right at our large yellow flag.
From Cornwall – Follow the A39 signposted Bideford until you see our brown tourist signposts and turn left at our large yellow flag.
Public Transport Directions
Nearest Station is in Barnstaple. Buses can be caught from Bideford Town Centre or Barnstaple. The bus route goes through Abbotsham Village a two minute walk away from the entrance of The BIG Sheep.
