Pam and Clive Wigfall welcome you to The Red Slipper, set in the centre of the beautiful unspoilt South Devon village of Stoke Gabriel, situated on the historic River Dart, and close to the unique scenery of Dartmoor. Stoke Gabriel is the ideal spot from which to tour or simply unwind and relax. It is only a short drive to the neighbouring towns and attractions of Totnes, Dartmouth, Brixham and the English Riviera of Torquay and Paignton. We endeavour to make your stay a comfortable experience so that you can enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the South Hams area of Devon, and we will be delighted to help you plan your stay with us.
Dining
Guests enjoy the choice of a full Devon English breakfast incuding fruit juice, cereals, ground coffee/tea, toast and marmalade, jam or honey, or a Continental style breakfast. Evening Supper is also available by prior arrangement (except Sunday and Monday) with a three course meal and coffee all freshly prepared. Pam, who is Cordon Bleu trained, produces a menu which is both varied and traditional and wherever possible uses fresh local produce from the West Country, which may include Dart Salmon or venison from Dartmoor. Advance booking for meals is always necessary.
We are licensed and offer a choice of red or white house wines. Alternatively, you may wish to bring your own bottle of wine for which there is a corkage charge of £2.00 per bottle.

Road Directions
Guests arriving via the M5, continue along the A38 towards Plymouth and leave at Buckfastleigh, take the A384 to Totnes and then the A385 to Paignton. About two miles out of Totnes, after passing a Garden Centre, turn right (by a car sales garage) for Stoke Gabriel. Mind the narrow Devon lane!
Alternatively, you can take the A380 towards Torquay. On the outskirts of Torquay, turn right onto the ring road and continue on the A380 towards Brixham. Turn right onto the A385 towards Totnes, and after half a mile turn sharp left to Stoke Gabriel (by the Collaton Carvery at The Parker's Arms).
