Widecombe Fair takes place every year. Wooder Manor is surrounded by woodland, moors, and granite tors. Walkers are spoilt for choice with walks from the doorstep.
The cottages and coachouse sleeping 2/4, 4/6, 8/12 are inspected each year and are clean and well equipped. Two ground floor properties - Lower Chinkwell, Lower Hameldown (wheel-in-shower). Central heating. Laundry room. Easy off-road parking.
Wooder Manor is central for touring Devon and exploring Dartmoor. Good opportunities for walking, horse riding, painting, bird watching, fishing, golfing, cycling, letter boxing and archaeology - nearby are the medieval settlements at Hound Tor and Grimspound. At Haytor the granite tramway is clearly visible. Enjoy the local legends - Jay's Grave, Hairy Hands, Hounds of the Baskervilles.....
