Dinners are served from Tuesday to Saturday evenings, by prior booking only (24 hours notice is needed). Our menu changes weekly.
In the evening, we serve an interesting range of dishes inspired by West Country recipes and created from the best quality, locally sourced ingredients: succulent ruby red beef; lamb from Mid Devon; Cornish Crab and the best seafood from Brixham; superb, locally smoked chicken... and our vegetables are really fresh!
We stock a range of high quality wines from around the world as well Devon ciders and West Country bottled ales.
Add to this, friendly service from your hosts Holly and Colin, and you have all the necessary ingredients for an enjoyable evening in our beautiful medieval Devon home.
From a recent report by the AA Hotel Services Inspector:
"The highlight of the visit was the food which, with excellent use of fresh local produce, created a most enjoyable experience. Dinner offered five choices of entrees and main courses, all of which sounded delightful and presented a difficult task in decision making. The scallops and mushrooms in cider sauce followed by goose breast fillet and home-made lemon cheescake all lived up to expectations."
Our wine list, too, has been given a "Highly Commended" award in a national competition run by the "Hotel and Restaurant" catering magazine - we were rated in the top 7% out of 500 establishments which competed!
