Visit the award winning Venus Café at Blackpool Sands, South Devon’s golden beach in a most beautiful, unspoilt setting 3 miles outside of Dartmouth. Using organic and locally sourced products wherever possible, Venus offers an unrivalled al fresco Mediterranean dining experience in a truly stunning location.

The Venus Café serves a tasty, all day menu - every day. We offer a great choice of delicious, homemade food from full meals to drinks and ice cream. Home of the famous children’s meal box - The Dolphin Box - with healthy and organic food and a free marine activity book.

The full menu is available from Easter to mid-September with a reduced winter menu. We also have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available on the menu. The Café is also licensed serving wine and beer.

Blackpool Sands is set in an unspoilt, sheltered bay lapped by clear blue water and surrounded by magnificent evergreens and pines. The beach is ideal for families with clean, safe, good swimming and life guards on duty in July and August. The Venus Beach Shop sells you everything you need for a family day out including buckets & spades, inflatables, wetsuits, swimsuits, boogie boards, towels, suncreams and windbreaks, the latter also available for hire along with kayaks and deckchairs. It also stocks a selection of locally produced food and drink products.

From May, Venus offers a magical evening dining experience at the beach. Fabulous fresh, local fish and meat barbecues from 6pm every night in the summer season.
