Walk with the animals at Living Coasts, Torquay's Coastal Zoo. Catch the free ranging penguins at Living Coasts and a whole lot more. There's a fantastic range of coastal creatures from the playful fur seals and the colourful puffins to the elegant wading birds and spectacular sea ducks. Birds fly freely overhead while you explore sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and a peaceful estuary. Next, try our underwater viewing areas to see the seals and diving birds at their best. Remember to catch some of our informative and fun feeding time talks. Don't forget our enthusiastic keepers can answer any questions you have and explain more about our marine conservation work. Living Coasts' Cafe and a la carte restaurant, Azure, have the most spectacular, sweeping views across Tor Bay which can be viewed from either the open terrace surrounding the restaurant or from inside - with its huge windows giving a panoramic view. The café is open during the day for meals and snacks. If you wish to dine in style, Azure@livingcoasts the a la carte restaurant, is open for evening dining and for private daytime group bookings. The Living Coasts shop is open to both visitors to Living Coasts or to casual shoppers. Here you can purchase souvenirs of your visit or unusual crafts and gifts. An educational visit to Living Coasts provides an individually planned out-of-classroom experience for your students. Our experienced and qualified educators will enable you to get the most out of a visit and ensure that your group, whatever their age or ability, gain a deeper understanding of 'Life on the Edge'.
