The coastline of this part of north Devon is a haven to wildlife, with rich communities of cliff top grassland and heathland, semi-natuural woodlands and a wide variety of animal life including breeding peregrine and raven. Geologically, the coastline shows terrific exposures through Upper Carboniferous rocks, including some dramatic large-scale folding.
