Set in beautiful scenery and quiet parkland in the heart of Devon. Original house and church built c1200. 'Capability' Brown landscaped park with lakes, majestic trees and scenic views to Dartmoor. Guided tours relate stories of Clifford Castles, Shakespeare's 'Black Clifford', Henry II's 'Fair Rosamund', Lady Anne Clifford who defied Cromwell, the Secret Treaty, the Cardinal's daughter, Clifford of the Cabal and many more tales of intrigue, espionage and bravery.
