Located in the courtroom of the old Axminster police station built c1860. The exhibits illustrate the history, industry and art of the town of Axminster and surrounding district. Temporary exhibitions are also held inviting local people to display their private collections. Permanent exhibition featuring carpet making (Axminster carpets) and small rural craft and agriculture exhibits.
