Thousands of miniature buildings, people and vehicles capture the essence of England's past, present and future set in four acres of award winning gardens. It's not just the humour, nor the animation - it has a life of its own. Come and see for yourself!

There really is something to capture everyone’s imagination. Now, in 2007, there is even more to see with lots of new features and events throughout the year.

Visitors spend on average 2 hours on site during each visit.

Towering above a medieval village, Merrivale castle is a miniature tourist attraction full of visitors enjoying a day out re-living medieval England. Impressive when seen from below, but from above the whole scene comes to life with superb animated effects featuring all the bawdy, comic events of Olde England. Dramatic Illimininations at night.

As part of this feature two new daring dioramas - peer into the DASTARDLY DUNGEON where characters are stretched to their limit, and laugh your socks off at the CELEBRITY BANQUET - see who's been invited to the feast, a few surprises guaranteed! Gruesome detail and awesome animation, this is certain to amuse you!

Being in balmy Torquay we cannot guarantee snow. However, using our craftsmen's endless imagination and creative skills, many features in the gardens will be transformed into magical & nostalgic winter scenes. Experience the Model Village in a whole new light with minilluminations from dusk. A new and unique experience for all ages, and something extra for the family - hunt for Jack Frost and his icy friends!

Road Directions

Follow signs to Torquay/Torbay from the A38 or A380. Follow the brown signs to Model Village once you are in the Torbay area. We are situated 2 miles from Torquay harbour in St. Marychurch/Babbacombe.

Public Transport Directions

By Bus We are just 3 minutes walk from the St. Marychurch bus stops By Train We are 3 miles from the train station, ideally continue by taxi or from the sea front catch No. 12 bus to Torquay harbour and then the 32/33 service to St. Marychurch.
