Situated in a unique thatched building close to the seafront, Fairlynch contains a wealth of material and archives relating to local history, nature, archaeology and geology relating to the heritage coast, and the East Devon pebble beds. There are displays of Period costume, from the early 18th century. Lace and lace making. Displays changed anually with major summer and winter exhibitions.

Nearest station is Exmouth station 6 miles. From Exmouth town centre No.357 or 57 to Budleigh Salterton. From stop at Town Hall walk towards Sea Front esplanade. Museum 600 yards from Town Hall.
