If you prefer to get closer to the land then saddle up and try a pony hack on the lanes and bridle paths around Corntown, Cornwood which is near Ivybridge or for the more adventurous, a gallop on Dartmoor.
One of the best ways to discover the beauty and variety on offer in Devon is on horseback and there are rides to suit all abilities.

From Exeter: take the Lee Mill turning off the A38, turn right under dual carriageway. Take next right and then left following sign to Cornwood as per directions below.
From Plymouth: take turning off A38 signposted Lee Mill and continue through village passing a garage on the right. Take the next turning left, signposted Cornwood 4 miles which takes you up a hill past Tesco. Continue on this road for 2 miles past the South Moor Vets and under a railway bridge. Continue along this road for a further 3/4 mile to a cross roads called Moor Cross. Take the next left turning continue for 1/4 mile under railway bridge, continue for 200 yards and Fitzworthy can be found on your right hand side.
