Exclusive/unique gifts for golfers. Hand made scale replica clubs (16-20th centuries) incorporated into memorabilia, historical documents or golfing art. Featured on both BBC and Westcountry TV. Celebrated owners include HRH The Duke of York, Nick Faldo and Denis Law.
Initially undertaken by 17th century bowmakers as a profitable sideline, golf clubmaking has been a precise and exacting art.
Nick Pearce's lifelong love of golf comes from playing and studying the history of the game, but in particular his faithful refurbishment of antique clubs. With over 40 years of skill and dexterity he has elevated his craft to a new dimension - an art form.
Unique scale replicas gloriously capture the classic antiquity of clubs through the centuries. Exquisite detail with features such as animal skin grip, hickory shaft, scored head with lead and horn inserts, depict the time honoured tradition replicated today to scale.
Examples of Nick's commissions:-
- 1744 Gentlemen Golfers - original laws with clubs of the era: Play Club, Scraper, Half Scraper, Putter and Trock Iron.
- 1930 Bobby Jones Grand Slam: Unique memento of 'Slam' incorporating print of Jones with a set of clubs used in 1930.
- Golfing Legends - Faldo, Nick Laws, Palmer etc. Print of golfer with a set of 1860 Open Championship set of clubs.
