Tucked away in the in peaceful village of Kingswear, Holly and David Jones have created a perfectly relaxing environment within which to improve your culinary expertise. Having worked in restaurants and food production in South Devon for the last 5 years they know that the area is second to none for the quality of food produced here. Furthermore they have all the right contacts for sourcing the best seasonal ingredients for their relaxed, hands-on workshops. Workshops include bread-making, wine and food matching, and seasonal master-classes.
Your tutors are both experienced food professionals. Holly trained at the Leiths School of Food and Wine before a career in food writing, broadcasting and restaurant cooking. David meanwhile specialises in yeast cookery having been a baker.
Accommodation is available at Fir Mount House, a large Victorian House in a fantastic location, with very comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfasts include homemade juices, breads and muesli with eggs from the garden, local bacon and sausages and even fresh field mushrooms in season.
Manna from Devon is set in the tranquil village of Kingswear just over the river from Dartmouth. Our smart demonstration kitchen in our relaxed Victorian home is the setting for the cookery school - perfect for demonstrations and small participation classes.
