Benefits of Discover Devon Naturally - Trade

This section gives you the low-down on the bottom-line benefits for tourism businesses within Devon (including Exmoor).

- Benefit from the £400,000 per year spent on marketing and press relations. We employ a full-service advertising agency, a national PR firm, a call and fulfilment centre, an IT web firm and a selection of other agencies in addition to 4 dedicated staff at Devon County Council to manage the project on your behalf.

Discover Devon Membership
Part of the funding conditions of the project is both public and private sector contributions in order to unlock the £1.2million of funding for this project. Whilst the large majority of this comes from the EU, Devon County Council, District Councils, National Parks and AONBs a small but important contribution must be made from businesses. This equates to under 7% of the total amount. However the project is 100% for the benefit of our tourism business and their customers.

For Attractions and Accommodation providers wanting to partner with Discover Devon the fee for 12 months is £99 + VAT. For non-accommodation food and drink providers (inns, restaurants, cafes, food shops, food schools, vineyards etc.) the fee is £45 + VAT. There are specially negotiated rates for Cartwheel, Devon Farms and DATA members. Those with multiple sites (entries) discount are available subject to negotiation.

This membership allows you an entire webpage on the Discover Devon Website dedicated to your business. Your web page will include:

- 200 words of description for you business
- Up to 5 photographs
- A link to your own website
- Contact details including email address
- Location Mapping
- Your Establishment Grading
- Prices
- Facilities/Services
- High priority listings on the Discover Devon site putting you top in searches

In addition to the web pages, Discover Devon Members are eligible to take part in a number of other marketing campaigns that we run:

The Late Deals Campaign is our most popular and successful membership addition. Discover Devon Members are given access the Discover Devon website to upload their own special offers and late deals. Each business can put up to 4 late deals on the site at one time. The best of the late deals are then picked up by us once a week and distributed to our subscriber list of over 10,000 people and media proactively advertising your business. Special Offer emails and competitions send out to hundreds of thousands of interested people nationally.

Press Itineraries and Press Visits by National Journalists

If appropriate (to our Press and Press Release schedules), we can include interesting news about specific businessesfor journalists.
