Free guided walks to Dartmoor public transport users
Dartmoor National Park Authority has organised an exciting programme of walks and events, for summer Sundays in 2006, linked to the public transport network, enabling a car free journey and an opportunity to enjoy a fascinating programme of walks in the company of an experienced Dartmoor guide. If you catch the bus to the start of the walk and show your ticket to the guide you can join the walk free of charge.

A Walkers Paradise - Both Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are a Walker's heaven. Long distance routes combine with way-marked footpaths to give a variety of walking options, including the Two Moors Way - a 100 mile route linking the two national parks.
Steeped in tradition - moorland towns and villages offer a warm welcome, friendly accommodation and often some unusual events and customs - from Widecombe Fair to Bampton Fair, and Tavistock Goosey Fair to South Molton Olde English Fayre.
Activities Galore - Both national parks offer a variety of activities, from bird watching and painting, to horse riding, cycling, rock-climbing and arts and crafts.
Changing with the seasons - Spring brings snowdrops, primroses and daffodils to river valleys and woodlands. Summer sees clear skies, soaring birds, and swathes of purple heather leading into Autumn with golden woodland colours and crisp fresh air. Winter brings light coverings of frost and snow with cosy moorland pubs offering appealing fireside hospitality.
