North Devon is fast becoming an international year-round surfing location and offers big-wave world-class surf beaches. Croyde produces quality beachbreak waves, whereas Saunton Sands offers slower breaking waves and is a popular destination for longboarders. The south coast has consistent quality surf in the Winter and Bantham, Wembury and Challaborough are favourite locations.

Wind surfers will find a variety of locations to test their skills on both the south and north coasts.
