Devon's breweries go back to time immemorial, and traditional skills still flourish in modern surroundings in a dozen places; visit historic Tuckers Malting to see England's only working malthouse open to the public or see how cider is made at Countryman Ciders.

With many of the UK's best vineyards in Devon, the opportunity is too good to miss - enjoy wandering around the vines, tasting selected enticing wines, and completing your experience by relaxing in their cafés with a further delicious glass.

For something stronger why not visit Black Friars Distillery, working home of Plymouth Gin since 1793? Or try Otterton Mill, which still uses traditional ancient waterpower to grind its flour.
