Eco-design, using recycled materials, has never been more hip or relevant. Being ethical and desirable, however, don't always go hand in hand.

Reclaiming Beauty curated by Sarah James, Co-director of The Devon Guild of Craftsmen and The Contemporary Craft Fair, sets out to explore the subtley and ingenuity in transforming waste and found items into beautiful objects. The exhibition will feature a fantastic selection of leading makers in metal, textiles, fashion, jewlerry, furniture and sculpture. These are not artworks and products that are clunky or homespun, but sophisticated, thoughtful, orginal and down-right gorgeous.

The 20 artists that have been selected to be part of the exhibition don't necessarily have eco-warrior status in mind either. Many of the selected artisits use reclaimed items for their narritive, story telling qualities.
